| Description | Hi Mr. Yoon, This issue is created to discuss about "How to setup SKB online OTA environment at VN factory". Unlike FII Taiwan R&D office, VN factory don't have account (SKB authentication code) to login each Eagle box. So it is not possible to do SKB online OTA. And we also need to check about how to connect to SKB network. VPN is an option but network speed may be a problem since OTA file is about 600MB. Please help to check if there is a another method to setup local online OTA environment and pass SKB account login page (SKB authentication code). Thanks ! | ||||

Hi Mr. Kerwin Chen, 1. Authentication code I think we already provide Eagle authentication code for production. It is for OBA test. So I think you can use this authentication code for your test in your factory. But to use this code, we should register Mac address to SKB system. Before you start to test, you can ask us to register Mac address of DUT. 2. OTA test environment Did you tested OTA in your office without VPN ? Should it use VPN for OTA in your office and Factory ? Hi Mr, Yoon, Regarding the verification code , the Taiwanese side can login through VPN environment to complete the update. But the factory in Vietnam needs to apply for a new VPN environment to connect to the South Korean network. We need to apply to support the Korean VPN network to support OTA updates. Jerry |

Hi Wooshin , The factory side can log in to the BTV UI through the VPN network, but the VPN network is very unstable and prone to network disconnection notifications. Jerry |

Hi Wooshin, 1. The Vietnam factory completed OTA test in the VPN network last Friday , and the update time was about 25 minutes 2. Ask a question about resetting BTV home. 2.1 Is there any other way to reset BTV home (We only know to press RCU Keys "Blue + 1 + 2 + 3 + 0 + Enter" to reset BTV home)? We tried many times to reset BTV home through RCU in version 15.531.10 of Eagle project , but it is really difficult to successfully reset BTV home. Jerry |

Is there any test server that can verify the OTA function of the software 15.531.10 ? For example, can we change the OTA server and so on. This is the verification method on the factory side: 1. Update factory firmware 2. Update customer firmware to 15.523.6 3. Login BTV UI 4. Update customer firmware to 15.531.10 But this is only to verify that the VPN network can be updated normally, not to verify that the OTA function is correct in version 15.531.10. 3. You mentioned before "We start discuss with SKB to test OTA on new version.". Is there an estimated time or any update progress? Jerry |

Hi jerry 1) I attached a pdf file on how to reset BTV home more easily. It can be easier if you enter the IP menu. please check the attached pdf file . 2) Basically, we release two versions. v15.531.10 -> release version (even) v15.531.11 -> edmp test update version (odd) OTA can be set up in a specific EDMP version for the three STBs mentioned above. Please let me know if you want a test. I'll register it as the version. I think it'll all be solved by registering the v15.531.11 version. 3) There is nothing special going on right now. If you let me know the flow ( or test result ) that FXN tested during the manufacturing process, I will check and deliver the information to SKB. Then, SKB will confirm it. Thank you YK.Jung |

Hi All, Here are a few status updates. 1) OTA testing in the Factory will be proceeded by Rauter 2) Rauter will be connected to the VPN provided by ALT 3) The MaC addresses for the OTA test should be provided to ALT before 4 pm (TW time) the day before proceeding with the OTA test Thanks! |

Hi All , I update the OTA update process and time estimation: The OTA update process takes about 50 minutes in OBA station. 1) Boot to user login screen of BTV UI==> 3 minutes, 2) Download Test FW ==> 25 minutes (via VPN connection with Router in VN factory) 3) Update Test FW ==> 6 minutes 4) Enter BTV UI and check Test FW version ==> 2 minutes 5) Reboot and update back to shipping FW ==> 7 minutes (update via USB) 6) Reset to default in BTV UI and wait for booting ==> 7 minutes The OTA testing seems to take a lot of time. If the number of OTA tests is too large, it may affect the factory shipment schedule. Jerry |

Hi Mr. Jerry Lin, SKB's requirement is that OTA test should be done when new firmware(for field or factory) is released. You don't need to test many STBs. I think you can test it with 2 or 3 STBs. It is for test that new firmware doesn't impact OTA function. I've heard that your factory do control run whenever factory or customer SW is changed. So I think you should add OTA test when you do control run due to firmware change. Could you discuss it with your factory ? If you have any issue, then please let us know.
